Thank you SO much, Sharron, love that you’ve had a peek at them in such detail … it’s no secret ‘dear diary’ is probably my favourite 100 worder of all time (that I’ve conceived, written and edited into submission)
Thanks so much, Justin. And wishing you and yours all the festive fun!
Fifty Fifties. I’d be there reading them all! It’s the ideas that I struggle to seek out, not the words. It’s been good getting back into the flow of it. I just need to convince myself to sit down and focus on the longer stuff.
I do love a daft tale occasionally, a hint of Abbott and Costello, or Laurel and Hardy … old school chuckles. Offsets the dystopian musings! Thanks for peeking in and rippling them out, Mark, much-appreciated.
I have dipped in and out and loved all, No 6 and 7 especially, then I read No 12 and "Spotify shuffled, settling on ‘Beat It’, moonwalking him straight to his desk via the 80s. Maybe he should have worn red braces for the full workplace effect." I think, 'been there, done that' as I shuffle off to read dip into the next instalment with the song in my head and I know it will be on repeat all for the rest of the evening!
What a lovely gift! Thank you!
And the promise of more to come 🎄
Such a treat, Barrie, having all these marvelous stories in one basket. Thank you.
BAD NEIGHBORS. a total nightmare
ELEVATED. Jesus, Barrie!
DEAR DIARY. Wow! An exquisitely edited example of a 100-word story. Total perfection!
EXCEPT. The perfect crime, well, except for...
DEAR SANTA. I am hoping that whiskey wasn't a deal breaker.
JUST WRITE, RIGHT. Procrastination. The writer's friend. I know it well

Some great writing and imagined worlds in there, Barrie, not least Dear Diary, which is very, very fine indeed.
Thanks so much, Matt. I’m finding my words (and ideas) again, slowly. And ‘Dear Diary’ is a favourite, one that just came out how I imagined it. 💛✍️💛
These are wonderful, Barrie! And what an awesome challenge you set for yourself. Hmm…you’re making me consider 50 Days of Fifties…do I dare?
Happy Holidays to you!

Hats off to you - I especially like 8 but so much gold here, thank you. Looking forward to more

Because I wrote one a day and then published, I’m due a re-read to see what stacks up as ‘not bad’. Thanks for the kind words!
