Thanks so much, Harry ... curious how we both took it in that direction without consultation. Perhaps that's where the short form leads us. I have a longer piece in the making ... it'll be interesting to see what it makes me do. It must be time for a fresh piece of art from you to inspire a tale of the 'noises off'.

I really like your opening sentence "Collaboration opens us up", and would also add that it nudges us write in ways we might not expect! So good to see how your own ending dovetails with mine - what synchronicity!

I am a real loner when it comes to writing ... I never thought I'd join in like this - but I told myself this year to try new things, be bolder. So glad we nudged one another. Encouragement is the thing

Serendipitous synchronicity... I hope this only that this isn’t a one off!

Impressed by your openness to this experiment. In almost all of my creative pursuits, I think I'm very much a loner: even anthologies can bring out the anxiety in me!

Me too ... usually I’m way too wrapped up in my own scribbles. It just feels interesting to see how stories weave themselves together with different minds and styles fuelling them. I have two longer pieces on the go, one dark and - unusually for me - one light, which will get my full ‘loner’! How’s your writing going?

Good luck with both the light and dark sides! Not much writing here, sadly. "Events, dear boy, events!" x
